Allons in Montérégie

The project aims to roll out Allons covoiturage, an innovative incentive-based carpooling solution that better fills vehicles already heading to ski resorts, parks, and tourist attractions across Quebec. To make the project appealing, rewards are available for participants who use the mobile application.

The mobile solution connects drivers and passengers, while giving drivers incentives provided by tourism stakeholders and local businesses. A communications campaign will help build a pool of drivers and passengers.

The project will reduce solo trips, GHG emissions, and parking pressure, while increasing the appeal and visibility of destinations and local businesses. Initiated by Tourisme Lanaudière and led by Greenplay and MT Lab, the project brings a fresh take on carpooling in Quebec. It was partly funded by the collective EPRTNT program.
