Getting to Mont-Tremblant by carpool

How to reach Mont-Tremblant Resort (Mont-Tremblant) by carpool: typical trips, meetup points, parking, transit, and Allons rewards.

Mont-Tremblant is the grande dame of the Laurentians: a summit watching over Lac Tremblant, a pedestrian village with colourful rooftops and trails on every side of the mountain. In winter you come for the powder; in summer for biking, the beach and the patios; in fall for colours that put postcards to shame.

The best way to get there? Several people in one car. Allons already serves the resort: share the road from Montreal, Laval or the North Shore, split the costs, and the conversation makes the 130 km go by faster than a podcast episode.

Typical trips

Usual driving distances and times, not an Allons trip count. Savings assume 3 people in the car; avoided CO₂e uses 0.21 kg/km, the same factor as the Allons dashboard.

Suggested meetup points

The Allons covoiturage app finds a meetup point for you automatically — and here are a few suggestions if you want them.

  • Greater Montreal park-and-rides

Angrignon, Radisson or Montmorency: meet up, load the skis into one car and head up Highway 15 while politely arguing over the playlist.

  • Saint-Jérôme station

At the end of the exo train line. Perfect if you’re coming from Laval or the North Shore and would rather admire the scenery than the highway for the last 75 km.

  • Sainte-Agathe exit / Route 117

The last big stop before the village: ideal for late departures or if you’re already in the Laurentians. Grab a coffee, regroup, roll on.

Access

Highway 15 north, then Route 117: about 1 hour 30 from Montreal in good weather. The last stretch climbs through the firs and, around a bend, the mountain appears with its trails. That’s usually when someone in the car says “wow” — rarely the driver, who wisely keeps their eyes on the road.

Parking

The resort’s parking lots are waiting for you; rates and rules vary by season, so check Tremblant’s website before you go. Four people in one car means one stall to find and one bill to split. Several outer lots are linked to the village by shuttle: the day starts with a little group outing.

Public transit

Autobus Galland links Montreal and Mont-Tremblant daily, and the exo train to Saint-Jérôme connects with Laurentides Inter buses. Handy, but on fixed schedules. With Allons, a driver already heading to Tremblant picks you up at a time that suits you and drops you at the base.

Local FAQ

Yes. Ski days start early, and many skiers from Montreal and Laval leave before 7:30 a.m. In Allons you set a time range rather than an exact minute, and matching finds drivers already heading to the resort. Bring a thermos.
