Getting to Owl’s Head by carpool

How to reach Owl’s Head (Mansonville) by carpool: typical trips, meetup points, parking, transit, and Allons rewards.

Owl’s Head has one of the most beautiful views in Quebec skiing: trails that seem to dive toward Lake Memphremagog, surrounded by mountains as far as the eye can see. The atmosphere is peaceful, there’s room to breathe, and every run comes with its own panorama.

Tucked away near Mansonville, close to the border, the resort takes a little effort to reach. The good news: the drive is gorgeous, and even better with company. Share the ride and the road trip becomes part of the fun.

Suggested meetup points

The Allons covoiturage app finds a meetup point for you automatically — and here are a few suggestions if you want them.

  • Magog / Highway 10 exit

The last town stop before heading down toward Mansonville: fill up, grab snacks, regroup.

  • Mansonville village centre

A local meetup point, 10 minutes from the base. Perfect for gathering the team before the final climb.

  • Highway 10, Panama or exit 106

For Montreal departures: set the meetup on the highway rather than on chemin du Mont at 7 a.m. in the dark.

Access

Highway 10 to Magog, then south toward Mansonville and chemin du Mont. The last stretch opens onto Memphremagog: wind, light and a collective “wow” in the car. Leave a little extra time: the view deserves a slower pace, both ways.

Parking

A compact lot at the base, sized like a little gem. Arrive with your crew: everyone hops out together, skis on shoulders, lake as the backdrop.

Public transit

No bus out here: Owl’s Head is earned, and shared. Allons connects you with drivers from Montreal, Magog or Sherbrooke, and the drive becomes a little adventure.
